Morning Troopers! Finally got a figure out for you all today. Blue and Orange Halo Reach EOD Spartan!
This figure spent a long time in the queue above my work station, but he finally got painted. Do you guys even remember when I sculpted the chest for him? Was a whiiile back. Really happy that I now have a new Mark Vb Spartan for myself. Also I have to give a thanks to @koldykat for helping me get my hands on a couple of parts for this guy.
I started this guy by sculpting the chest using green stuff. But I didn’t mix it right so I had to coat it with superglue so it wouldn’t mess up the sculpt later on. He showcases 2 3d printed parts from @ls3d_printing and @dougie_d73, the EOD helmet and CHOBAM utility. Both outstanding prints. Huge shoutout to my boy @strandy_42 for getting me a helmet before it released to Ls’s store. I wanted to match the colors seen on MCC the closest I could do I had to find a mix for both the blue and the orange. I think I got pretty close and I’m sorta getting the hang of color theory, although I still hate it. Besides my primer acting funny and paint not spreading correctly the paint job was pretty smooth and I’m very happy with the results!
