We believe building bricks can be used to create anything.
So, this year, the Mega Construx design team is introducing something new to the Halo line. Each building set in the Halo line features a second build that can be accomplished using the same parts as the main vehicle. Instructions for the alternate build are available on our website. By creating a second build for each set, we hope to inspire fans to expand their Halo universe and get building.
Behind the scenes: The MCX design team challenged itself to make each 2in1 build very different from the main model. In creating the Banshee’s 2in1 build, an attack Skimmer, we tried to capture the enemy styling while creating something new that can live in the Halo universe. We avoided using the Banshee’s most iconic part, the canopy, in the Skimmer. This immediately made it different. This vehicle is imagined to be used by Elites, so it needed to have curves and smooth surfaces. However, once the general shape of the vehicle was defined, we added the angled parts and wings to give it a rougher feel.
