The assault on base 02 part 4: the climbers

As the last shot rattles off the survivors find themselves almost out of ammo and stuck. The zombies start constantly banging on the walls, more and more come as the zombies screech that new flesh has been found. Soldiers move around putting down infected that have gotten inside. Suddenly they begin to do something new. They climb, piling on top of each other they climb over the walls.

“Sir they are climbing! What do we do!”
(By this time many people in the base have tried to escape and have died or gotten away in the process leaving a small group of fighters)
“Aim for the heads, don’t waste shots”
“Sir, it’s time to go, if we all push through we may be able to make it!”
“We stay!”
“Sir why are you so stuck in this base, base 03 is just a mile away!”
“If we leave we can never win the war”
“What do you mean?”
“While we held the horde at bay the people in base 03 are finding a vaccine for the virus, and if we leave and draw the horde to the base all will fall apart!”
“So. We’re bait…”
“Yes, they didn’t expect us to hold out”
“Sir. I’m with you to the end”
“Dang! Here they come over the wall!”
Radio fizzes.
