It only took one mistake and the virus was in, with a rush and scream zombies were climbing over the walls and attacking the invaders, the captain rushed to his room where he grabbed the two way radio and he shouted over the sounds of gunfire and screams.
“This is base 02, this is where we get off, the zombies are inside and we will not hold them back, we don’t have enough ammo and supplies.”
“This is base 03, captain, hold out as long as you can we will send backup.”
“Did you find the vaccine”
“Yes, you did it, we could never have done it without your soldiers”
The captain broke down in tears, would the end of this whole mess finnaly be over?
“Sir! We have 25 approaching us! We need help”
The captain grabbed his shovel and headed out to assist. Already he could see the soldiers were fresh out of ammo and were now busting enemies with melee weapons. A zombie charged him and knocked him off balance. He slapped it off and continued to fight
In a few hours Base 02 was now no longer a human outpost but a zombie den. When the reinforcements came they saw no suriviors….
