This has been one of my most ambitious brick built models I've ever tried to produce ignoring the rough edges, I have probably spent the most time building it out of all my previous models. After days of interior research and roughly 3 hours of planning and a weeks worth of free time, I tried my upmost best to recreate this steel beast. Before I get into the details I am here to quickly mention that I didn't have the right pieces to finish the tank for example I missed the dual fuel tanks on the back side of the hull and obviously the barrel. Now into the nitty gritty of this build, I have included everything from handles to tow hooks, lights, suspension, boxes and crates, shells, racks, flooring and seats, controls, lights, view finders and scopes; I present to you the T-55a.
The T-55 medium tank the ak-47 of the tank world. The tank itself has a fully tracked, five-road wheeled chassis with a space between the first and second road wheels and no return rollers. It has a low-silhouetted hull with a dome-shaped turret mounted over the third road wheel. The 100-mm rifle-bore main gun has a bore evacuator at the muzzle.
Quick fact:
This tank was the most produced armored fighting machine to date and was known for it's reliability.
This model as of now is still built and slightly unfinished. I'm not sure whether I should wait it out until I get or find the pieces I need or whether I should put this model into retirement and dissemble it for a future project I have been thinking about.
This model was also meant to be my departing model, my final build but I couldn't bring myself to leave this little community.
