With the 10th anniversary of original line I was hoping I could get this finished before the unveiling of the new line especially since the original tan scorpion was my first set, I guess I'm a little late to the party no matter. With that said, I present to you my take on the scorpion and it's to near perfect scale with the current gen figures.
Wowee this was a tough one. Easily spent the ever so quickly passing 3 or 4 months playing around with this darn thing, tweaking and changing parts as I went and those damn treads, man where they a pain, I couldn't quiet get them right and even now after looking at the photo's I want to remake them. The original build plan was to revolve around Halo 2's scorpion, the one without machine gun at the front because I personally thought it was the most realistic take of this tank but after completing the tank, it looked a little bland so I instead opted into adding my own little details to the tank nothing too much just little subtle details like lights, antennae, crates and boxes. (The engine too)
The engine was very difficult, the whole section back section was made out of solid bricks beforehand and I had to completely hollow it out in order to fit it in. With the engine complete I looked into what else I could add and after checking the wiki, I stumbled upon a variant known as the "Sundevil" with a picture that looked more like concept than anything, so I decided I'd loosely recreate it and making it interchangeable with the turret, I personally think it turned out great.
And mega I see you, love the new design of the scorpion and those track links are great.
