This is actually half of a project I completed about 5 years ago. Somehow I never got around to posting it on the official Mega Construx gallery. This build along with the online record of many of my past halo themed builds disappeared with the demise of Spartan Bloks unfortunately. So anyway, here ya go. Its some of my best work.
For those of you not totally boned up on your halo lore, towards the end of the Halo Wars 1 campaign, Sgt Forge and Capt Cutter elect to sacrifice the Spirit of Fire's slipspace drive (and ticket home) by using it as a world busting IED. As the Covenant enjoyed air supremacy the Spirit of Fire's forces were forced to give up on air transport of their improvised bomb and had to haul it overland using a huge trailer pulled by a Troop Elephant.
While the hexagonal shape of the Slipspace drive created some interesting challenges, the star of this build was the trailer. It was articulated in the same fashion as the in-game version. When detached from the tow vehicle and the tilt mechanism was actuated, the SoF's slipspace drive would slide off and down its ramp in a perfect analog of the in-game cut scene.
