So as mentioned in the two other associated gallery posts, my Halo Wars Elephant along with the associated trailer and SoF's Slipspace Drive were all part of a huge custom build completed 5 years ago. Unfortunately my original build posts for this endeavor and that of many other customs were lost with the unfortunate hacking and demise of the Spartan Bloks fan forum. Here are a few more notable details which there wasn't room for in the primary gallery post.
In Halo Wars game play you collected energy and resource materials which could be expended on unit upgrades. The Elephant offered several levels of this. The first upgrade was "Twin Engines" which sped the vehicle up by 30% and replaced a a simple vent grating on the roof behind the cockpit with a big black intake. The second was "Defense Turret" which added a large twin barrelled cannon to the rooftop over the front of the troop bay. Both of these upgrades have been deployed in my first pic of this post. The next two pics show the 3rd upgrade, "Ceramic Armor" which was easily added or removed from the vehicle model.
My rebuild of the stock model was so extensive that there really isn't much of the original left present, a notable exception being the Mega's very clever deployable turret design, and fold-out front stabilizers. There is nothing that wasn't changed at least a little, and most was changed a lot. My rebuild was bigger in most dimensions, allowing for a two man cockpit, a larger "Mongoose garage" with rooftop access ladder and hatch up front, and a cargo landing area in the center of the vehicle which the crane could now actually access! (Not so much with the stock build unfortunately.) The rebuild added access between the cargo deck and the troop bay, even when the deployable cannon was stowed. The total redesign and clean-up of the rooftops included a hinged panel that automatically filled in the big gap in the roof created when the cannon was stowed. I'm certain that if you compare your stock v2 Elephant to my pics you can spot tons of other major and minor detail differences.
