The MT-88TC(B) Ridgeback is a troop transport iteration of the standard MT-88TC. Two version of the Troop Transport exist, the one pictured above, bolstering weapon racks, a side mounted LAAMG and defensive walls, noted as the "Troop Transport-Combat". And a completely covered variant with side seats similar to a Pelican Troop Bay, noted as the "Troop Transport-Dedicated" either variant can comfortably hold 6-8 personnel and their weaponry, with the Dedicated Transport holding 10-12 with a mix of seated and stood. The open backed Combat variant seen here is utilised as a mobile defense platform, often carrying the automated Gauss Cannon also used on the MT-88G. The highly effective armour of the Ridgeback, with the high-than-ground level of the troop bay allows for this variant to offer a wide view of the battlefield, and the LAAMG offers an incredible 180° dield of supportive fire to the flank. Variants with and LAAMG on either side are also utilised. The only downside of the Combat variant is the open-roof open-rear design, allowing lucky grenade throws, flanking or aerial assult to not just be effective, but to have a high chance of completely nullifying the entirety of the troop compliment, which is why the combat variant often leaves it's armoured ramp partly extended to act as a rear shield, and some even utilise tge SAM Missile Pods to counter any airbourne threats.
