“After the New Phoenix incident, the UNSC had to react to the growing Forerunner threat. In an effort to strengthen the outer colonies ability to cope with such threats an initiative was passed to establish FOBs in colonies hurt most by the previous Human-Covenant war. Established in April of 2558 on the colony world of Dwarka FOB Ambrose is one of these FOBs. The FOB is named after the heroic Spartan-II Kurt Ambrose who trained Spartan-IIIs and led them to fight off covenant and forerunner threats in order to secure their survival while also ensuring the UNSC’s access to technology that guaranteed UNSC strength for decades to come. FOB Ambrose is a small FOB with the primary purpose of MEDEVAC and forward resupply. The state of the art medical facility and two MEDEVAC Falcons allow FOB Ambrose to react swiftly and treat critical wounds sustained in combat. The Armory and barracks ensure UNSC personnel are armed and rested for the coming fights. A vehicle maintenance company ensures Warthogs, Mongooses, and other UNSC vehicles are fully mission capable. Finally, the Command and Control facility allows FOB Ambrose to coordinate missions, control assets, and communicate back with UNSC commanders to ensure proper mission taskings.”
Well, after around a year of building it’s complete. Had a work “vacation” that took me away for awhile. Presenting the completed FOB Ambrose. It takes up two 8ft picnic tables and I hope the pictures do it justice. The goal with this was to combine real world deployed operations with the Halo Universe. As a result an emphasis on utility and details was utilized. Each structure has a full interior, all turrets move, radars move, etc. Individual build pics for each structure with interior shots can be found at the link below. Enjoy!
