If I may suggest it, I'd prefer to use a baseplate for stopmotions. Secure it down with tape to prevent shaking on the figure. You could also have the camera (or phone or etc) on a stand or tripod, to also have less shaking and better photo clarity. If I could recommend a final tip, take more photos, but move the figure as barely as possible. That way, when you play it back during editing, it looks very crisp and realistic. Hope these tips help!
