A big thank you to the gallery members who commented on my first post! I greatly appreciate your encouragement!
My main purpose with the Clock Team is to create something for my C.O.D. figures and sets to engage with. (I have 2 firebase dioramas on 2 different 15 by 60 inch shelves - 1 desert, 1 jungle) Mega is actually helping out in that regard with the Terminator and Alien figures (Predators please!) but otherwise there are only zombies. I want something with the same depth and 'realness' as the game storylines - enter CLOCK INC and the Clock Team! (Although I have created twelve main team members I have only fleshed out a backstory on two of them)
My secondary purpose was to use existing figures, parts, pieces, and color schemes already available to build the Clock Team while still making each main figure unique in appearance. This has resulted in an accumulation of sets from several different series' - and challenges relating to the 2 slightly different scales Mega uses. Enough with customizer woes - more Clock Team!! The backstories/details follow the order of the pictured figures and start with pic 2. The scene is a work in progress - building a warehouse dock as the team's pre-mission HQ.
FACE: founder of CLOCK INC, a.k.a. Richard Royter. A decorated combat veteran, FACE recognized how technology was changing the battlefield. He also began to develop a hatred for those who got rich from war selling that technology without having to risk their own life. FACE believed the key to winning in any combat scenario was the ability to 'see' - see the armament and locations of the enemy, the battlefield and movements of an opposing force in real time - regardless of your actual line of sight. After leaving the military, FACE began networking among the contacts he had made during his military career and eventually founded CLOCK INC - now the industry leader in advanced integrated combat optics and visualization. Along the way, his status and success led him to meet other soldiers who lived and loved military life and combat - but hated the discrepancy in where the real money was going. Somewhere in between then and now - the Clock Team was born.
SIX: Team lead. Natural born soldier. Combat veteran of every conflict since Bosnia. 5 Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars, 94 confirmed kills. No wife, no kids. Lives for combat. Forcibly discharged after his fifth Purple Heart by a president who never served yet got 4 times the E found him somewhere in Mexico after the media stopped talking about 'the hero who spit on the POTUS'.
12 and 24 - 12 is the point man. His co-designed proprietary CLOCK INC holo/thermo scope on his purpose built rifle allows him to 'see' hidden enemies up to 400 yards out. If he sees a heat signature on the other side of a wall he can't shoot through - his grenade launcher will change that quick! The rifle scope is also live linked to the mission overview drones so if a target or the objective move or are moving - 12 can still lead Clock Team to it!
24 - Heavy Machine Gunner. 24 is always on standby - if things get crazy he can link his custom M-60 to a belt that runs from his backpack and put 84 seconds of continuous devastation on whatever it may be causing the team an issue. Everything 12 has in his scope - 24 has it and more - including an advanced targeting system - inside the bonded titanium visor of his helmet!
The last 3 pics are A.M. - the grenadine; a close-up of 9 (mission support); and a shot of FACE and 3 (mission support)
Hope I didn't bore your socks off! More pics of the Clock Team coming soon...
