Day 1 of Building the New Elephant

So the build is going pretty well and I just have a few things to say. Firstly, the build looks great as you can see. Second, if you get one for yourself please pay attention to what piece you are grabbing. Printed detailing is fantastic, but when there are so many of these packed in with similar looking pieces it can be easy to mistakenly place the wrong pieces. If you are the type to organize all of your pieces, you probably don’t need to worry about that as much. Finally, I’m a little disappointed about how much plastic is used in the packaging. Some bags are even wrapped in another plastic bag! Maybe it’s to prevent the larger bags from breaking open, but it’s a little upsetting considering the much more environmentally friendly paper bags used in the Hornet set. The images in the instructions even look like there was meant to be paper packaging, but maybe that’s just me. All in all, this set is coming together really nicely, no missing bags or parts so far and just a great design! Can’t wait to finish!
