As I regain the sense to settle down, a loud wail, engages the forest. Causing the birds to fly, animals in the distance to scatter and forces me up the hammock.
Where did that come from? Having the height advantage I scan the scenery.
I don’t see anything.
Out of sheer curiosity I check towards the cliff side, noticing nothing. Until,
*The animal
“ROAR!!!!”
Jumping backwards I fall out the hammock grasping the vine, causing me to swing forward. Holding tight I’m able to see the animal on the cliff side clawing for dear life.
There’s no way I’m letting you down, as I swing back towards the hammock I cut the right connector. Braiding 3 vines as though my life depended on it.
I sprint forward I leap with no regrets, roaring “I SEE YOU!”
Catching the animal off guard just enough to connect the hold. As we swing to the lower cliff side, the fusing of this animal causes us to fall harder than planned. Rolling to a sliding stance, I look up.
The beasts back is to the cliff once again, this time, we aren’t fighting.
Making my stance clear, I maintain my posture. Allowing the animal’s gaze to fixate my own. Doing so allowed some type of mind focus, before my eyes a horn as gold as gold can shine formed.
