A slightly more advanced technique is the slow-in, slow-out technique. Basically that means your subject moves less when it starts moving and when it's beginning to stop moving. this improves animations dramatically.

Also practice, that helps too.

make sure that your camera is stable, or you have an onion ring setting on so that the view is focused and not all over (unless it is on purpose)
