Prologue

Daniel looked down at the paper's on the kitchen table, he muttered under his breath " Conscription paper's"

He sat down and read through them he had to leave he had go, leave his home on earth and fight for humanity.


Sarah came out of the kitchen she asked in an soft calming tone, What is that love?

I have to go fight remember those rumors of Aliens? well they're true.

Sarah in a more concerned tone asked What about the business? What about your career as a lawyer?

Daniel signed one of the papers, it will have to be put on hold...

1 week later. October 8

Daniel sat at the kitchen table he had just finished breakfast when someone knocked on the door, he said to his wife, his goodbyes, and left with two MP's.

New Alexandria 2552 fall of reach



Daniel was frozen he could only stare as covenant forces slaughtered his brothers and sisters in arms in the streets of new Alexandria, he then came to a sudden realization this was it he was staring down the destruction of all of humanity, but he wasn't going without a fight.

Daniel gripped his rifle tighter and peaked over the sandbag wall he was leaned against he emptied a mag into a brute and popped some grunts in the head after switching to his sidearm he looked to his right and saw and plasma bolt strike a fellow marine killing him.


4 falcons swooped in and gunned the covenant down with the enemy dead the Marines loaded into the falcons and headed to the objective : escorting civilians to an evacuation zone.

The 4 falcons prepared to drop the Marines off on a roof with the civilians when banshees ambushed them, a fuel rod blast struck the fuselage of the falcon daniel was in killing the side gunner and tilting the falcon backwards as to send the aircraft flying off the roof of the building and crashing into the side of another building.


Daniel would be the only survivor.

Daniel for up tossed his busted helmet aside and walked over to the shattered windows, the only thing he could do now was go down to the streets and try to find some pockets of resistance miraculously the elevators still worked and Daniel went down into the building's lobby area.

He winced at the sight of the massacre of military personnel and civilians the bodies being obvious evidence of that.

This was war and war is heII.....

3 days later.....


Daniel crouched behind a concrete barricade, the evac zone was overrun, Jackal snipers everywhere.

He had to get to one of the pelicans.


He threw 2 smoke grenades as a distraction and ran like heck, he threw a grenade as he passed a shade turret and destroyed it.


He was in, he had a basic idea of what to do and flew out of new Alexandria and into the countryside.

Daniel rolled the dice and it paid off but would his luck run out?

Wars end 2552


Daniel sat at the kitchen table he had sat months before it was over he could live in peace, his family his wife and daughter.

But nothing lasts forever and Daniel was in debt.

Daniel went through some emails like usual he was expecting bills but what he saw would startle him, a confidential email from the Office of naval intelligence.....

Daniel looked through the email and opened the attached file, everything he had done every bit of information on him this made Daniel uncomfortable, he dug deeper there was even footage of him on the streets in new Alexandria.


ONI knew everything, Daniel read the final part of the file.


THIS IS EMAIL IS TO NEVER BE MENTIONED TO ANYONE.

And then a job offering, they new he needed the money to support his family they saw what they wanted and now that he was vulnerable they made their move.

Daniel sat and thought to himself he couldn't tell Sarah about this

Daniel walked out onto the balcony, part of him missed Reach's countryside he couldn't see the stars here it was depressing in a way.


He thought to himself for a while longer and went to bed.
