This is a serious thread (at least as serious as I can get), and rather than making Gallery posts all the time, it's much more practical if I just make a thread, and edit it here and there when I make changes to the Lore.

This way, if you're really interested, you can just check this out, without me having to give myself to much work.

Quick word: Invasion is part of this Universe, it'll probably also feature two seasons of 20 chapters each.
THAT'S ANOTHER 40 CHAPTERS OF SMEXY COMICS!!!

Now onto the lore:

The Nargoians (The OG Humans) and The United Nargoian Galactic Democratic Empire
Humanity in D of D originates from the Galaxy of Nargo IV, as the Nargoian galaxies are a cluster of 5 spirals, they colonised this galaxy quite quickly, and survived the Nuclear phase unscathed before making a discovery of unprecedented importance: The Particle Accelerator Engine (PAE), this allowed them to travel even faster than before, and therefore colonise new galaxies.
Within a few centuries, they encountered the blood thirsty Brutes, or Jiral H'annae (Conquerors in their language). After 9 millenias of war, a ravaged but Victorious Humanity had beaten and exiled the Brutes into undiscovered space, now more commonly referred to as the Banished. This would be the first show of Humanity's unparalleled resourcefulness and learning skills, something that most of the other alien races lacked heavily.
By now Humanity had 7 galaxies under its control, and they were colonising quickly (that is to say on Galactic scale). During those 9 millenias of conflict, many ships had been launched into space to find flanking routes, and possible systems to evacuate to should the need arise. One such cruiser was the UNSC Afro II, that suffered a PAE malfunction and ended up in the Sol System, far away from Nargoian Space, only for it to encounter a Banished super cruiser that had also been sent on a reconnaissance mission. After hard fighting, the ship was abandoned, and those that made it to the planet's surface would become the ancestors of Humanity (~300,000 BC).
They would eventually mate with the indigenous aliens, forgetting their roots, and so H*mo Sapiens Sapiens would be born, but more on them later.
Approximately 2 000 years BC, the Nargoians have full control of 13 galaxies! Of which 3 are quite large, and the overall estimated population is 6 Quintillion Nargoian citizens. The UNG senate has over a billion systems represented in a complex system of sub-systems and districts.
The United Nargoian Space Corps has an estimated 256 Quadrillion active servicemen, and another 300 Quadrillion reserves (this is peace time).
A colony vessel makes first contact with an Alien alliance named the Covenant. No survivors are found when UNSC search vessels are deployed to the area after the ship falls silent, before they dissappear off of the UNSC battle net themselves. Little by little more UNG worlds on the Borders of the Arco II galaxy fall silent, and UNG or UNSC ships dissappear, it becomes clear that this is a large threat.
And so starts the Nargo-Covenant war.
December 2020 AD. Sent on a flanking route, UNSC Battle-group 5 Alpha stumbles across the Sol System, they scan the planet and discover Covenant troops on the Surface. So begins the battle of Sol III. Office of Nargoian Intelligence scientists on board also notice that life forms of interest to their studies on a possible parasite that may have destroyed civilizations prior to Humanity, are also present.
January 2021. Allied with the "Natives" (or hybrids as they call them), UNSC forces are pushing back the Covenant.

I'll leave it at that, I'm doing Sol III humanity, and the Banished next.

OK so I have some time right now, so:

Humanity in Sol III
So from 300,000 BC onwards, Human history is the same, up until the cold war. Basically, in this Universe, the conflict never ends, right up until the summer of 2018 AD, where several catastrophic events unfold. The first is a 9.5 magnitude Earth Quake in California, it basically separates the entirety of California from the mainland.
This puts the US of A into a state of Emergency, with millions missing, and thousands thought to be dead. In this heated moment, N-K thinks its a good time to poke the beast and fires a missile in the direction of Japan. The US responds creating a massive crater and killing millions, the radiation spreads all over Eastern Asia, and even the southern tip of Kamtchatka in Russia.
WW3 starts, it's over within 6 months, as everyone nukes each other, and Alliances become worthless. Even the southern hemisphere becomes utter Chaos.
And in 2020 AD start the events of D of D.

The Banished (previously known as the Brutes or Jiral H'annae)
Strength: Unknown (I want this to remain a mystery)
In this Universe, the Banished are just one species.
When you fight an enemy, make sure that enemy doesn't know how to use your weapons against you... The (then) Brutes learned that the hard way.

Humans... It's always humans. The Nargoians suffered high losses in the first millenia of their war with the Brutes, but they quickly realised that they could use Brute technology to their advantage through a series of methods:
No. 1: Stealing Brute equipment, this was very rare though.
No. 2 Hacking Brute electronics, this caught the Brutes completely off guard, with the Nargoians often shutting down Brute equipment quickly and efficiently.

This caused the Brutes to lose their combat superiority very quickly (less than 1 000 years). By the third millenia of war, the Banished were very rarely fighting the Nargoians, but rather buying themselves time to explore uncharted space in an attempt to save their falling empire. Another millenia and their slaves were in open rebellion.
5 millenia later, they had a small peace conference where they managed to scrape an exile to save the small portion of their once 10-galaxy empire.
The United Nargoian Galactic Democratic Empire took only 2 galaxies for itself, not wishing to stretch itself too thin, too quickly.
Thus the Banished came to be, worshipping their War gods in some distant corner of the Universe, waiting, watching for their opportunity for Revenge.
They re-armed themselves with abandoned or captured technology from other distant civilizations, including the then young Covenant, another rapidly expanding empire.
And so approximately in 2000 BC, they saw their chance. Allied with the Covenant, they fight against humanity.

Keep in mind that I'm writing this from the perspective of a Nargoian historian, so alien races and Civilizations don't have much lore.

I know no one probably reads this but this is honestly more of a way for me to jot down lore in a semi-permanent fashion.

The Covenant
Strength: 6/10, very quick break throughs, but ultimately vastly inferior numbers.
Although almost nothing is known about the Covenant, it is safe to assume that the organisation (on a Universal scale) is quite young. It seems to be primarily made up of slave races led by a militaristic alien Race known as the Sangheili, although the Sangheili's motivation on invading Nargoian Space, and often just glassing (=orbital plasma bombardements) the entirety of the planet with little to no ground intervention, is very puzzling, although it is clear that this is not a war for territory. Intelligence suggests that it may be, similar to the Banished, a religious belief.
The same intelligence cites this as, "A religion based on an ancient (now extinct) civilization advanced beyond even our understanding. The Sangheili seem to believe that they are cleansing each planet to purify it, before they eventually colonise it in accordance with the seeming will of their Gods."
One can only theorise on the origin of such beliefs, although when searching through the Official Archives of Nargo on the planet of Roy VI, it leads to think that this belief may have originated in a similar manner to those of pre-spacefaring Nargoians: Through ancient texts that interpreted phenomenons such as comets, as a sign from celestial beings.
In any case, the initial surprise that the lightning attacks on Arco II's border systems provided for the Covenant, proved only a temporary advantage.
The first time a Covenant fleet encountered a full United Nargoian Space Corps fleet, who had come as reinforcements to the weaker, often incomplete Battle-groups that patroll our borders, they were very quickly defeated.
Although substantial destroyer and light cruiser losses were sustained on the UNSC's part, the entirety of the Covenant fleet was wiped out almost single-handedly by an Epsilon class Super Carrier (also known as Ultra class Carriers).
1000 years after first contact (~1000BC), the Covenant has gained many systems in Arco II, but their advance is cut short abruptly by the arrival of two UNSC Armada Groups (1 Armada group = 5 Battle-groups), who deal huge damage to most of the Covenant Invading fleets.
100 AD, Another UNSC Armada group arrives to replace and reinforce current Battle-groups fighting the Covenant.
1400 AD, The Covenant are losing a number of strategic systems within Arco II, but send another invasion fleet, they temporarily gain a few important systems.
1800 AD, UNSC forces are no longer fighting the Covenant in the Arco II galaxy, but have pushed back the Covenant into their own systems. A fourth UNSC Armada group reinforces the current UNSC forces. Estimated Nargoian losses are close to a trillion. Estimates on dead Covenant troops come close to a dozen trillion.
2020 BC, The Covenant are suspected of being allied with the Banished. They are in a full scale retreat.
A fifth UNSC Armada group is en-route.

I forgot to mention this, the average life expectancy of a Nargoian is 400 years, because of how Sol III humans have a mix of indigenous genes (from Neanderthals, Handy Men...), they have a drastically reduced life span (our current one: ~70 years).
Brutes are close to 200 years of average life expectancy, whilst Sangheili can go up to 320 years.

Welp, time 4 ze Flood.

The Flood:

Knowledge of this ancient parasite is very rare. The earliest archaeological remains of a highly advanced species that was wiped out by some unknown cataclysmic event, were discovered in 1400 AD, in the Proeas system, in Nargo III.
Recent discoveries of fossilised mutilated remains led to the belief that said ancient civilization, was wiped out by some kind of organism.
This would be hushed by the Office of Nargoian Intelligence, but studies, and archaeological discoveries would continue.
The news was finally broken to the public in 1843 AD, when an outbreak of unknown origin by a strange parasite occurred in the Ablat sector of Arco I.
3 of its 5 sectors were compromised and a very brutal and heavy Naval blockade was initiated to quarantine the zone.
CPR authorization is still pending in the UEG senate, whilst a means to stop the spread without having to destroy a planet is being worked on.
In 2021 AD, who knows if the Flood are present in other areas of the Universe??
