Right, I'm reviving this thread just to say:

Very few people read Invasion.
Very few people also read Dawn of Death S2.

Unfortunately, that means people don't necessarily know much about the Nargoians, as the Lore in those comics is pretty much applied in the Bush Wars by me.

So!
Here is Nargoian society and history: Definitive edition!

Being written right now by me: Survivor11 (I'll also post it in the gallery when I have time).

Chapter 1

About 8 000 000 years ago, emerged on the planet of Nargo VI or Nargo IV (no one is really sure which) a sentient species.

For the first 200 000 years they communicated in grunts and signs, but eventually, they developed a dialect, today known as Nargoian.
In an extraordinary miracle of sorts, this dialect has varied very little over 7.8 million years.
However, how it is written, has.
The language is thought to have made communication in between rival clans far easier, allowing for friendships to be easily kept unbroken.
What leads experts to believe that it was rather Nargo VI that was the birthplace of this species, is how it has had, for the better part of its history, only two tectonic plates, one of ocean, and one of continent, although in the last 2.4 million years these have fractured into a few more plates.
This would've allowed the species to easily develop and maintain communications in between themselves, establishing trade and making war meaningless.

Around 400 000 years after they had first appeared, this species was very good at space travel.
They had a means of faster-than-light-travel known as the Particle Accelerator Engine phase 1 (PAE for short, although some annoying people will refer to it as Particle Projector Engine or PPE, sparking a heated argument from time to time).
This rather large piece of machinery allowed for short distance planet hopping.
No alien life was yet to be discovered.

Around 2 000 000 years after having found a way to travel faster than light, they had managed to discover pretty much every planet in their galaxy, as well as setting up population centers.

Chapter 2

To travel to a neighbouring galaxy, the distance would be too great for the PAE phase 1...

Which is why they'd require a more powerful PAE: the phase 2. One capable of long distance projection, without requiring a planet to refuel, which meant creating bigger ships.

Around this time as well, scientists realised that they'd need to find a way to augment the Nargoian life span considerably, in order for a crew to be fully operational during the entire 180 light years that separated them from the neighbouring galaxy, soon to be known as Afaro II (the first galaxy being named Afaro by now).

This took a considerable amount of generations to achieve, with scientists succeeding each other in the task of encouraging citizens of each generation to consume the supplements required and to reproduce, allowing for a 5 year life span average increase with each generation, until 500 years old was finally reached.

At which point the next generation would have to design the impressive Spinal class Colony ships.
Big enough to transport the immeasurable amount of supplies, machinery, colonists, and crew required.
They were an achievement that would go down as one of the best engineering and organisational feats of Nargoian history.

By now, this species was approaching 2.5 million years of existence.

By the time Afora II was entirely colonised, with the few non-sentient alien life encountered having been domesticated, they were approaching 3.5 million years as a sentient species.

So, what isn't more logical than colonising the next galaxy?

At this point the Nargoian population was well into the quadrillions in number.

1.5 million years later...

Almost halfway through colonising their fourth galaxy, and officially having the name of the United Nargoian Galaxies, presumed sentient life was stumbled upon.

They were later placed under the semi-sentient classification due to their absolutely brutal nature, which earned them the name 'Brutes'.

Of course, they decided it would be a great idea to kill every Nargoian they encountered as sacrifice for their bloodthirsty gods.
It is important to note that at this point, the Nargoians had no need for any warships of any kind.
They were drastically unprepared for the savage and unrelenting attacks of their new enemies.
But... They were ingenious.

By the time the Flame class warships were designed, built, and put into use with ruthless effectiveness, partially due to the reverse engineered weapons they had that came from their enemies, hundreds of Nargoian planets had been razed of all life.

Something which was unforgivable.
Billions of their own were dead.
So the Nargoians attacked with everything they had.

Their shipyard's productive capabilities were bolstered by the three Galaxies they fully controlled: allowing them to replace every ship lost in a matter of days.
They gave their enemy no mercy, pushing them back desperately, burning their planets to the core with a new weapon of their own invention, the 'surface cleanser', super-heated plasma beams that were fired from Flame class Mk. II vessels, later known as destroyers whilst the Mk. Is were relegated to frigates.

The Brutes were brought to their knees after 800 years of war, having lost thousands of world's and an entire galaxy to Nargo's seemingly endless hordes.

Very little planet combat ever took place, usually only in defense for the Nargoians, who preferred to use their newly gained space superiority to 'cleanse' Brute planets from Orbit, as the flame class Mk. III appeared.
Nargo had won just from how quickly it had adapted.
More than two and a half galaxies had burned in this war, and the Brutes were on the verge of extinction.
It would later be discovered that they were incredibly slow at progress, far more than the Nargoians, having existed for 7 million more years but only having conquered two galaxies.

Chapter 3

Disclaimer:
This is an alternate universe, some of the things wriiten down below are based on historical events that lead to our species evolving, but they are in no way actually real. We're not descendants of aliens.

The Brutes fled from their worlds, as one by one they were "cleansed of the sub-Nargoian filth" as one Captain put it.

Having successfully established communications with the bloodthirsty race, the Nargoians only transmitted one message: "You will not return, or we will destroy, burn, and kill all that you hold dear..."
A clear threat, that would lead the Brutes to escape into the depths of space, to be later known as the Banished.

Meanwhile, the Nargoians started their rebuild of their own and the conquered Brute Galaxies, well, only those that had seen extensive fighting.
This colossal task would take around 1.5 million years to complete, as they surveyed the conquered Galaxies and slowly terraformed the glassed surfaces.

Why did their exploration suddenly speed up incredibly quickly?
Well, the Nargoians had managed to capture and reverse engineer Brute stellar maps.
Not only that, but the PAE phase 3 rolled out, requiring less fuel but going far faster and farther than a PAE phase 2.
New machinery was created, and overall, technology just made exploration and surveying, as well as constructing, much faster.

Around this time, the Nargoian population boomed.
They were now capable of colonising multiple Galaxies at a time.
So, as they reached 8 million years as a sentient species, the United Galaxies of Nargo now counted 11 Galaxies under their full control.

About 300 000 years ago, a small Nargoian warship on a scouting mission encountered the Sol System, having accidentally travelled to a neighbouring galaxy when it's AI glitched and miscalculated the projection.

By pure chance, a Banished warship had also miscalculated its projection and found itself in the system too (the Banished are what remain of the Brutes in this universe, remember).
Both ships engages immediately.
The bigger Banished ship quickly came out on top, but as it started being pulled by Sol III's gravity whilst its engines failed, the Nargoian warship, the Afro II, landed a lucky shot with its beam, causing a chain detonation of the Banished ship and completely destroying it.
Unfortunately, the Nargoian ship was still being pulled into Sol III's atmosphere by the planet's gravity, causing it to crash into the middle of a savannah, on a well known continent (Africa).
The Survivors were tall and strange compared to the native population they encountered.
Unfortunately, they didn't get on too well, and the Nargoian's superior weapons basically eradicated the native semi-sentient H0mo Habilis.
Around 200 000 years ago, the survivors had spread out onto this alien world, and encountered more semi-sentient native species such as H0mo Neanderthalis.
All of them had forgotten their alien roots as the original ship had all but disintegrated by now, leaving a sizable crater, though.
It turns out that the Nargoians were compatible with the native species and could reproduce with them to have fertile descendants... Something quite strange.
This lead to the emergence of H0mo Sapiens Sapiens (us), who would later find the skeletons of their alien ancestors and label them H0mo Sapiens, believing them to have been fully native to "Earth" as they called it (now, go read Dawn of Death S1 and S2 for the rest of the H0mo Sapiens Sapiens' story).
