If an account gets banned, then do we get an email saying we’ve been banned? Or does it just refuse to let us sign in?

Not sure. I'd assume a notification? From what I've heard from others it seems like you get a notification if you get a warning.

If you get a warning you will see it the moment you login. From what I've heard you have to click a button to accept that you have seen the warning.

If you get banned you get a similar message when you login. The message tells you how long you have been banned for.

No idea what a permanent ban looks like I imagine the same as temporary, but with no "expire" date.
In all my time on the site I'm only aware of one person being banned.

When the mods on Waypoint do a permanent ban, they set the ban date for October 29, 2552. XD

I think this might happen when a user delete's their account.
Or it might also be projects that were brought over from the old COD gallery.
