I find C.O.D line contructions-sets much more adventurous of the recent [competitor] production and therefore, although it was difficult to get them in Italy (fortunately I have a very good dealer nearby), I purchased the Humvee (2, because it is too beautiful) the Abrams tank, the Dome fort, the Black Hawk helicopter of navy seals (magnificent) along with the boat and the Hughes helicopter, as well as all the series of soldiers sold separately. I look forward to having the Harrier Jet and the Russian BTR-82 (not sure if the import is planned here in Italy yet).
They are all well packed, while waiting for my kids (4 years old) to grow up enough (at least 7, certainly not 14 as stated in vs. packs, when I hope they will be able to have fun with the girls and not with constructions :-) ). I hope meanwhile you, in addition to the zombies (which frankly I do not understand, not being very much an Activision fan), I would very much like you managed to produce a more appropriate counterpart (Russian, European, Arab Army). The potential would be very high, given the weapons available even by these Armies.
If I can provide an opinion: I saw previews of the Enterprise NCC-1701 starship, too large to be displayed too small to play with the characters. I would see more appropriate, to have small dioramas with some of its sections (control room, tele- transporter room, engine room, reconnaissance-spaceships port, and 1 or 2 people per pack): much more playable!

^ Welcome Gianantonio

Sounds like you have started off your collection. We have a thread over here: What's in your collection?
Where you can list what you have as well as read what others are sporting in their collection.

Also check out this thread where you can post your line recommendations: COD set ideas

Uh Hughes helicopter? Mega hasn't made a Hughes, it's an MH-6 little bird. It's a BTR-80 (possibly a 90) mega is going for what was in the COD games and neither the Hughes nor the BTR 82 never appeared (also the models such as the 82 arent as famous as the 80 or the 90)

The zombies are from a game mode from the COD series in which the player(s) are "survivors" and have to fight off the undead for as long as possible.

What do you mean more appropriate counterpart, counterpart to what? The current soldiers are not from any specific country or region, other than named characters and the Arctic Invasion soldiers who have federation markings. The soldiers have no nationality and so could well be Russian or European if you want them to be. Also you say the potential is very high based on weapons - you know that countries sell their weapons and vehicles to other countries, The UK bought about 5 Russian built T-90 tanks. Russia has sold AKMs to countries all over, Iraq, India, Sweden, etc. Just because something is made in a specific country and shown to be used in a handful of other countries doesn't mean you can assume that these are the only users of the item being used.

Now I realise this post can come across a bit strong but I can't stand it when people just assume that something can only be used by the same group of countries because they're shown to be used there most by the media and can't be used anywhere else. Every country buys and sells weapons, vehicles and technology to each other.

The AK-47 Assault Rifle is a perfect example of this. A Russian weapon that's used in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. Also, Mega Brands uses a scale model of it in the CoD builds. Along side the ever so popular MP5 and what appears to me to be a version of Colt's M4 Carbine, though, I could be wrong.

^ actually the ones we see are probably AK-74's or AKM's (sorry again) the AK-47 was actually replaced in the Mid-Late 50's by an updated model (the AKM) which in turn was phased out in 1974 by the AK-74 but everyone still refers to these later models as AK-47s.

And it depends on the stock your using on your "M4's" I mean put an AK stock on it and you got what looks like an M16, and the MP5 with the M4 stock with a suppressor reminds me of a Scar-H with a suppressed short barrel, etc.

^ That's it. I'm now convinced Akula1996 is some sort of government spy / weapons specialist.
I'm officially a little bit scared .

Your wealth of knowledge is incredible.

Probably because he's played call of duty so much that he's become a CoD gun guru

No I'm not a spy/weapon specialist, I just like guns, military vehicles (including aircraft but aircraft knowledge is limited), and history of warfare. I take the time to do research only on my favourite topics such as the AK series of guns or vehicles like the BTR series.

Sorry but I mostly play COD only for the campaign then get bored, I play battlefield more. Even then I do watch a lot of things about warfare and weapons on tv and as I've already said I do research some of my favourites from time to time.

Welcome Gianantonio!

I hare your enthusiasm for the Call of Duty line. I've been building custom micro figures with articulation equal to COD figures for years so i was *thrilled* to see i would no longer have to (it requires a lot of patience). I've completely abandoned all other toy lines in favor of Mega Bloks new micro figures and building sets.

I second that . If enough diorama sets were produced some ambitious builder would add them inside of a custom built enterprise .

Johnnyfive - not that this place needs an official of any type but if one were needed you'd get my vote. You've been doing a bang up job around here trying to keep people engaged and active via threads.
