It would probably be a good idea to search for painting tutorials in wargaming forums. I know there are mounts in the Warhammer miniature games, so it is likely you'll find painting guides for leather-like objects there..

Entertained at the moment. I am opening my UNSC Marine Platoon pack, and I like to pace myself at one figure each day, so I'll get a new one daily for the week and a little more.

Today I am somewhat annoyed.

As it turns out, the clear armor chest on the Active Camo Trailblazer Spartan gets conspicuous stress marks by snapping the torso onto the figure.

Over the weekend, i picked up the two helmet sets I was missing (blue and green) as well as a couple Skirimishers from Infinite Series 2. Right now I'm waiting for my Marine Platoon set to arrive, so I'm excited.

These days I've been moving stuff around in the house, so I got to revisit a lot of my collection, which is, I'm sorry to say, incredibly dusty. Still, I'm having a good time with it and look forward to sitting and clean them properly. As far as recent stuff, I found a handful of Halo Infinite Serie...

Well, I think that is as probable as Mega changing the color of their logo...

They really should give that universe another run.

Well, for the time being the only way to get adequate Axis vehicles lies with Off-brand sets from Poland and China. Even though something can be wiped out of the Big L brand, they generally lack more specialized pieces that really elevate the quality of their models.
