The Target-exclusive (for the US, at least) Collector's Edition Pack (not to be confused with an even bigger Collector's Edition pack of Halo Micro Action Figures floating around out there) breathes new life into some Spartan molds we haven't seen in force since the 10 Years imprint, and further pits them against Covenant representatives from the (also Target-exclusive) Blue Team imprint for Fall 2013.

Gold Team fields a variety of older MJOLNIR variants - the Mark V, Hazop, and Grenadier, along with an Active Camo Air Assault Spartan, with enough weapons between them (Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Active Camo Suppressed SMG) to get in the thick of battle against engaging Covenant forces. Blue Team sends a Grunt and two Elite Commandos into the fray, led by a gray Elite General - this winds up being one sticking point to the set; the General is cast in a flat, concrete-like gray compared to the silver tint in the stock photos. On the upside, his Plasma Sword glints a dangerous pink that will tug at the heartstrings of any mecha anime fan, and the other Covenant materiel (Plasma Rifle, Focus Rifle, Plasma Launcher) is all cast in the new-school Covenant metallic purple. Stands for all 8 figures are also included, as has become tradition for "Blockless" sets like this and the Last Man Standing pack.

At a paltry $20, the Collector's Edition Pack is a great upscale holiday stocking stuffer for the introductory (or veteran!) Mega Bloks Halo builder.

This one was my first set, it costed like 10 dollars at walmart, i love it, but i lost the most of spartan weapons and the hands of the spartan broke, what the nostalgia.

I love this set! A PURPLE ENERGY SWORD!!!! I love the figures they put in this set. If i could give more than five stars I definitely would. The only thing i had a problem with was that the Mark V should've been replaced with a mark IV. Other than that five stars.

This was a GREAT set. The figures are not gold though, and the silver general is not silver, its just grey. Try to get the golden air assault (in the mystery packs) and it will match the set very well. The price should have been $15 though. The blue series banshee matches this set very well too. I will defiantly recommend this to anyone who likes costume/collectors sets.

The Spartan Grenadier
Rate 7/10 stars.
The Spartan Grenadier is a yellowish/gold type of figure. The only problem is that it dissent have the night vision type of thing on his head. He would have looked much better. The grenade launcher is perfect with this figure.

The Spartan 5.
Rate 8.5/10 stars.
The Spartan 5 is a great yellowish/gold figure. The blue visor makes him look costumed. The Problem is that the battle rifle makes him look like a halo 3 figure. He should of had a DMR.

The Spartan Hazop.
Rate 10/10 stars.
The Spartan Hazop is one of the best figures in the set. He looks like a Halo Reach/Halo 3 type of figure. The assault rifle matches perfectly with the Hazop. Again the blue visor makes him look like a customized.

The Active Camo Air Assault.
Rate 10/10 stars.
The Active Camo Air Assault is also one of the best figures. The SMG is perfect with him/her. If you want the gold version then you should get the series 8 mystery pack.

The Blue elite Commandos.
Rate 9.5/10.
The Blue Commandos were great figures. I would suggest giving them plasma grenades and purchasing the blue series banshee. It would look great with them.

The Blue Grunt.
Rate 11/10 Stars.
I think this was the best figure in the set because the Colors of him were just perfect. The Plasma Rifle made him look even more awesome. I gave him a bonus star for his colors and his weapon. Well done on this figure.

The Elite General.
Rate 7/10 Stars.
This halo reach elite general was a problem. In the box/preview he looks amazing. But when you actually see this figure, the colors are bad. They should have made him like the box/preview color. He just has weird grey that makes hime look like a piece of plastic. His forearms are amazing though. They look like giant spikes. If there was gold markings he would have been the arbiter.

This set is only at Target but I think its a great set to get. It should have been $15 though that would have been better. All the weapons accept the battle rifle are amazing.
