ONI Project 397.

Originally a test subject for a regrowth gadget, 397 was the human experimentation. It failed herdiously, and 397 was terribly muatated. It changed him, and he became aggressive, more battle strategic. He attacked lab personnel. Tranqs did nothing to him, and he decimated the ONI Security. Eventually, a spartan demobilized him and he was put under maxium security 24/7.

Beware -

Jump Report - Intermission communication
Log recorded - 32.888.18293
Location - Unknown
Respondent - Vice Admiral Niles Markenstan
UCD-D Cordiea - Second Fleet

This is Vice Admiral Markenstan reporting. Under direct orders via Admiral Kaliunea, Phoenicia broke off from the Seventh Fleet much to the dissuading of Admiral Dalzec to pursue an unidentified jump signature near the Triangulum Cluster. The Destroyers Osmosis and the Veridian, along with the majority of the second remained behind to support the Seventh Fleet while they carried out there assigned objectives, wile I and my ship UCD-D Cordiea, the Frigate Kalfirka, the Corvettes Yirlixx, Izikiliku, and lumin along with a hand full of cruisers, the Kiro and Zidan among them; accompanied the Phoenicia to the Triangulum Cluster. We traced the Unknown jump signature to a massive gravity well near Triangulum ECL-3. Our investigation lead us to a black hole, the Admiral, unwilling to cease her pursuit she ignored my recommendation to desist of this Unknown and activated the IUJG. The black holes gravity well should have prevented our vessels from slipping into deep space, even with the IUJG, I'm uncertain of what exactly followed but the result was our arrival in an Unknown Nebula cloud. Scanners and sensors could not identify our location. Again Ignoring my recommendations Kaliunea broke up our small force into two and had us blindly drift through the nebula in pursuit the Unknown signature. At 32:69 we lost contact with the Phoenicia, Kalfirka, Izikiliku and three of our cruisers. Our fighter wings were dispatched to locate out missing vessels. During this time we encounter a massive warship, unknown class. It somehow had already been designated, the Shivoza. The warship opened fire on us, we played defense and the vessel moved away from us with little friction. In the best interests of my crew and the members aboard my accompanying warships we did not pursue the Shivoza. At this time we doubled back in the direction we had came from and encountered another unknown craft, designated the UNSC Almeneck. Communications with the vessel revealed it to be of terrain design unlike the previous warship. The crew aboard the ship were attempting the execute a reverse jump, one they performed successfully I hope as they presumably exited the nebula. We continued our search for our missing vessels and managed to pick up multiple if not all of the Phoenicia specialist fighter wings; Shadow, Kasinova, Fire-Reach, Specter, just to name a few. We maintained out heading which leads us to where we are now. We have recovered Phoenicia Control and the Izikiliku. Nearby debris in the area revealed the destruction of our cruisers and frigate. Shadow docked with the Phoenicia and ascertained the current situation on board. Commander Grainenr has assumed control of the warship and from his account there group was engaged by a warship designated Certhiidae. It obliterated the Kalfirka, and crippled the Phoenicia. Its a wonder the warship survived considering its fragile frame. The warships bridge was lost along with it presumably Admiral Kaliunea. Because of this I am assuming temporary control of the second fleet. Commander Grainenr has re-routed the ships overhead controls to engineering. Something that has been done before apparently. I plan to initiate a jump out of this nebula with the IUJG at 33:40. This communication should be arriving at the time of our attempted jump. We will consolidate with you once we have returned to allied space. Until then Vice Admiral Markenstan Signing off.

- Misconception -

Honor is thy name, thy purpose and goal. We Served in the name of the Prophets, to honor there names and our own. When the covenant fell what was I then but a shell. It is our way to embrace death, for failure is to dishonor ones family. Yet we failed the greatest failure, so great was our failure that our own subjected themselves to death rather then embrace our dishonor. What were we then, outcasts? Worth less then the meager dreg, or whelp? We had no home, no honor, no hope. Many of us would drift apart, completely disgraced and take our lives in the belief of the Covenant. Other such as thyself, would hide our dishonor, brandish our swords and lend our daggers to the nearest cause that would except us without thought. I drew my blade aginsted the Humans during the long war, and again I drew blades aginsted them when Jul rose to power. Each time I questioned my loyalty to my race. To my name. I had the chance you know, to strike down the forsaken Arbiter. But in that very moment I froze and began to contemplate my choices. The moment passed, our roles reversed, and much as I had he did spare me. My contemplations did not fade, now I'm left to wondering here. In the cusp of the new war, if my fate was truly just.

The Tales of Yore

- Coming of the Void -

Providence spoke unto me. Infernal dark. The prophecy that we would build our awestruck society upon. I need not speak it here, for it should be known. We bared witness to the tole of this dark prophecy. The wreckage and aguish wrought by its ghastly visage. It tore at my very breath. This, is a beginning. Of horror and atrocity. In the light of a red star, the reckoning would begin. A king dethroned, an empire let to waste. How the city's will burn. His hand, puppeteering. It akes me to recall. The alignment of so many residual probability's. They the beckon, would echo his coming. Through his alignment the Great Nervosa, reborn would sow chaos. The corruption would go to desecrate its makers of old. To even dwarf the gleaming towers of my birth in its disgrace. In there steed the Phantom apparition will feast on the frozen entombed corpse of the Great Salacious, Odious, Shaydas. The Great Caliphienous Gods evisceration and subsequent resurrection would echo the final comings. The second great dark would befall. Such as the waves of time do draw fickly to an ever eroding shore. History would be set to repeat itself. The Phantoms gapping maws would again devour. The Nervosa would again conquer. Yet there absolutions would be met with little consequential consequence. They are not our focus, for there coming would leave a particular subatomic anomaly vulnerable. Dicataomey would falter, the prophecy that built a nation and saw it fell would come to pass. The void shall arrive. -

- Bringer of Light -

Halani was never benevolent. Her path was marked by as much cruelty and dissidence akin to the rest of her race. Her atrocities numbered in the thousands. Yet, she took the title bringer of light. My more ignorant mind would call it a jubilating mocking gesture. But my more honed and sensible side would say otherwise. Very few ever catch the eye enough to warrant such interest. Yet Halani was by far an exception to such predicaments. She and her ilk ruled over a single universe long since gone. I had rendered myself to study of this ancient beast. Yet what I found and what I see are two very different pictures. Story's left behind tell of a benevolent Drakaina. A protector, so to say. Yet the visions show a different tale. In this case I have come to an understanding of nether. Of things that do concede. She was fair. Cruel, and harsh yet kind and benevolent. When war came to her, unlike many of her kin she did not flee, instead protecting those others would dub beneath them. Yet the answer did not come for a long time. The Nervosa were capable of many magnificent things, that is known. Yet I never surmised the facet that garnered her name. Like many her name was a riddle to its true intent. She didn't merely breath light. To a universe breaking, on the brink about to fade. She breathed unto it new life, or light, something of the sort. I don't think I could ever trust a beast of such capability, of such she was never truly trusted. In light of it all it dawned on me. How much do you the reader trust me? Have I not transcended the reasonable realm of trustworthy believability? If not yet... You will understand. For we have defied not just time, my cause in a way could be seen much more sinister.
