That doesn't make any economic sense. Mattel will continue soliciting MOTU Mega Construx building sets to retailers but never, ever one they've already designed and possibly made new steel molds for?

such is the nature of convention exclusives, [competitor] does it pretty regularly, I'm sure mattel does too

It would be nice if they'd release an alternate version. Maybe with just the Moss Man figure. That way the convention version, would still hold it's appeal for collectors.
