BUILD CHALLENGE! #2

Hey Beyonders!

You really outdid yourselves during our first building challenge! We received some pretty awesome entries and want to thank you all for participating! The Design Team was really impressed with some of your vehicles and building techniques you all used to create these custom builds. And for that, we have to up the ante.

Are you ready for the next challenge? Of course you are! Here’s a clue to help you figure out the next theme:

Some find these gross
Others find them neat
These critters will make you jump
If they’re crawling around your feet
They’ll pester you at a picnic,
Or even around the camp fire
They buzz and they bite
Repellant, you’ll require!

Can you guess what the challenge is?

If you guessed INSECTS, you’re right!

That’s right friends, these creepy crawlers are both amazingly awesome and gross (to some people at least) and now we want you to build them!

Here’re the rules:
- Build any insect (from Earth – no extraterrestrial creatures please!)
- Upload at least 3 photos of your build to the gallery – make sure each photo is from a different angle
- Name your project the following: Build Challenge #2 – Insects – [what insect you built]
- No limit on pieces – build it as big or as small as you want.

Your builds will be judged on detail, use of parts, and originality. Entries will be reposted on our official Instagram account and winner(s) will be announced later in the month.

Don’t have enough matching pieces? No problem! Build it anyways. We’re looking for technique and ability above all else. You don’t need matching colors to bring your vision to life – just a buggin’ design!

And that’s it. Time to put your creativity to the test. Let’s see what you got. Oh yeah, and no kit bashing!

Hey all, unfortunately the turn out for the second build challenge wasn't what we were hoping for so this edition was nulled.

BUT... after looking at the gallery some more, we've got a pretty awesome theme that we think everyone can contribute to! Stay tuned!
