Here is my (Admiral_Koi) vehicle for @RedThree's contest.
The UNSC Amphibious Troop Transport was brought to the United Nations Space Command in 2537 to aid in Insurrectionist removal. In 2535 the UNSC found a planet covered almost entirely with water. With no intelligent life forms detected they sent a SPARTAN-II team to investigate. Returning with a positive report the UNSC started to build underwater structures and facilities on the planet in order to take advantage of the natural resources.
In late 2536 the Insurrectionist movement known as "These Guys" received word of the construction of the marine facilities and wondered how they would be able to get their hands on it. Recently acquiring covenant stealth craft Mighty Justice, These Guys were able to sneak onto the planet's surface and start their own base of operations.
On March 6, 2537, the UNSC got wind of this plan and hastened to eliminate this threat. By the next evening, the UNSC had gathered enough personnel to assault the base. Little did they know that These Guys had set up anti-aircraft guns along the border of the base. UNSC high command quickly realized that dropships would not be very effective troop transports. So they decided to use Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST). But These Guys had a way to counter this attack. Three months prior These Guys had installed a surface-to-orbit Magnetic Accelerator Cannon (MAC) in order to defend from ships in orbit.
This is where the Amphibious Transport comes in. The UNSC dropships would place them in the water full of ODSTs. The transports would then drive to the enemy shores and disembark their contents. On March 9, 2537, the UNSC had taken full control of the base and captured many insurrectionist leaders.
