I had bought the Minions Station Wagon, but as picture 8 shows (partial build of original Station Wagon to see what I needed to change), it was just too small, so I made some adjustments with various pieces from other sets. The doors open in the same manner as they do on my custom Humvee that I made. I tried my best to keep the wood design on the sides. Overall I widened it by 2 and lengthened it by about 4.
Now for what happened to be going on while showing you the custom. Initially I just picked two random figures that happened to not be holding anything. But then, I started to wonder: what do a Footsoldier and a Red Shirt have in common? Answer, they are always the first on their shows to either get destroyed or killed. So they seem to be perfect together, as underdog bad guys. The FootFleet is what I call them. Now you may be wondering: "who is that guy who looks like a pop-n-swap Deadpool knockoff?"
Mercury... Captain Mercury. Obviously a play off of the scene in Deadpool where Wade and Weasel come up with Wade's name. More of an explanation to come later. Like, who was Captain Mercury? How did his gang form? Why are they robbing a bank? Is the man with his dog significant? Why is the bank called "Chet's Change 'n Checks Bank 'n Trust"?
Only will this last question be answered today. In the original TMNT comics, places were often called Chet's something, because the creators, Eastman & Laird just liked the name, thought it sounded funny, so it is a nod to them that I called it Chet's.
What do you think of the Station Wagon and the glimpse of a short comic, that would be a bit of a TMNT Star Trek crossover?
