It's been 10 years since the first Mega Bloks Halo sets were released. Started with a small turret build with 3 Spartans, and now we're here. My first encounter with Mega was with one series 4 (?) blind bag. Inside was a green Mark 4 Spartan. I had never played Halo, so to me this was just some odd robot. But I was hooked by it. To me, it was miles ahead of a... certain... competitor. I wanted more. Several more series 4 blind bags followed, purchased with pocket money... or lots of begging my parents. After that, a birthday rolled around, and with it, my first full set. It was a Shade turret that included a single Grunt, one Spartan in Air Assault armor, a jetpack, and a few accessories (I had played Halo at this point.). I had so much fun with just that one set. Unfortunately, it didn't survive to today. I still have the Spartan, but other than that, the set has disappeared. After that, not much else. I lost interest and move on to other toys, such as certain competitors. And only about 1-2 years ago did I get back into it. I saw a review done by someone (forgot who it was) on a Halo set, I forget which set it was, but it made me think back to those old figures, and so, I decided to purchase... a blind bag. I think it was a Charlie series. And it was the Flood-Infected Spartan in the new articulation, and that amazed me. They were now even more like tiny action figures! And then it started. I began buying blind bags when ever I had the chance. And now, I'm here. I don't have a big collection, but I'm happy with it! And I'm part of a community that loves Mega Bloks/Construx as well! So, happy 10 years to Mega's Halo! And here's to 10 more years, and here's to Building Beyond! (That was a doozy to type! I guess I should talk about this custom, huh?) To celebrate 10 years of Mega's Halo, I decided to "remake" the first figure I ever got. It's not an exact match, but I think it looks rather nice. I tried to get the color a close as I could, and I think it's a pretty good match! Hope you guys like this custom!
