I was a big fan of MOTU in the '80's, and as most kids at the time, I had a few non-Mattel figures that were made to compete for kids' allowances. Most of mine were from the Remco lines but I remember staring at the various others in the store, trying to decide if I wanted to buy a real figure or one of the fakes. Most of the time, the real figures won out but the fakes endeared themselves to me. I don't recall having any of the Sungold figures. However, researching designs to get ideas for customs, I realized some of them could be good figures if they had a bit better detail to them. I had a spare Beast Man and thought he'd be a good fit for Tiger Man. I used the complete figure for the base, sculpting the tiger head onto Beast Man. I haven't decided if I want him to be a heroic warrior or evil warrior.
