First off, yes, that's a Nargoian salute in the picture (just a small show of force).
Secondly, here's some very important information on what to do and not to do regarding Bush war(s).
1)This is a collaborative event that is generally sparked by (a) prominent creator(s). Don't try to ignite a 4th/5th/terrorist war on your own, it'll usually not work and probably won't be counted because we usually didn't want it.
2) If you're going to commit a twist, please warn us beforehand in the Forums or a comment section by saying something along the lines of: "I have a twist planned!" or "I have a secret weapon!"
Both of those don't actually spoil anything but allow us to follow along.
3) If we (those involved with major roles because we kind of started the whole thing) say it's over, IT'S OVER.
We usually create some sort of miserable excuse for a treaty, make a couple of posts on the gallery and that's that. Please don't drag it out. We have a whole canon set up regarding these with a gallery history (check it out in the RP and fanfic forum).
4)You don't have to join, you have no obligation, personally, I wouldn't recommend joining at the end of a Bush War/Crusade.
Currently we're in the third Bush War, who's with who can get confusing, so I'll elaborate this a little bit lower, but the important thing is that this one is pretty much coming to an end.
5)This is the golden rule, we're all having fun, don't take it too seriously, this is a meme.
The above may have seemed serious but for any kind of Roleplay to work well and be understandable, there are rules (although this more of a crash course).
Now, that that's cleared up, here's the general faction consensus:
Shrub Industries vs. Everyone else involved (Bush Industries, me and my faction: the Nargoians).
Fourth, but not necessarily least, most people that join aren't necessarily veterans of the gallery, or just generally people who have been here long enough to have read every comic, so here's a (rather long) explanation of who the Nargoians are in my comics series where they first appeared (or, go read Dawn of Death Season 2 Chapter 10+ and Invasion).
For the sake of shortening this, I'll leave out most of their backstory, but here's how the modern Nargoian Military works:
Everyone joins up on an even footing. Conscription doesn't exist, but veterans get a lot of discounts and de facto pay raises, as well as it being very prestigious in society, (if they survive).
Your rise through ranks is determined pretty much only by how adept you are at surviving.
Even the highest ranking General started as a private in the infantry corps who was just really good at survival.
Why is survival what determines how you get promoted?
Well, let's just say, that on a planet it's not easy to flank. Most of the time the terrain will force you to attack head on, resulting in large numbers of death. Deaths that due to its just unimaginable size, the United Nargoian Galaxies can replace tenfold (x10).
Fortunately, even if you die on the front lines, your family gets a large amount of discounts and benefits, so joining up is generally a rite of passage. Not to mention it's pretty easy during peace time.
The large number of military personnel it has at its disposal are also a product of the UNG's Propaganda.
Everything you'll read about war in Nargoian society paints it as glorious.
Even the not so glossy parts are depicted as heroism.
Basically, Nargoians are brainwashed into believing in their cause unconditionally, from a very young age.
Nargoian society is democratic, but still very much about militarism, probably due to having to wage a war with each sentient species they encounter.
