It truly is amazing just how easily customizable the new (for me anyway, I'll explain in a future post) Halo Infinite Marines are. As an army builder who hates Green Army Man Syndrome, I love how all of the Marines have different races, genders, ethnicities, hair/eyebrow colors, leg straps, and shoulder armor. Mega Construx really knocked it out of the park with the Marine figure overhaul.
One thing that I don't like is how samey the helmets are. Halo Infinite Marines are loosely based on the Halo Reach Trooper designs and those guys/gals had eight main helmet variations (with several sub-variations to each main variations). If you want to be pedantic, there were four variations that came in two head styles: balaclava and uncovered-face.
The four variations are as follows:
1. Just the helmet
2. The helmet with integrated goggles
3. The helmet with ODST Romeo style targeting unit
4. The helmet with an integrated targeting monocle
Well, I haven't figured out how to do a removable balaclava yet, but here are three of the four variations of Reach Trooper helmet for my Halo Infinite Marines. I don't know whether or not I'll complete the set and do a targeting monocle helmet since I'm not a fan of that design. Time will tell.
My favorite design is unfortunately the most expensive to make, seeing as how Sniper Marines go for about 10 bucks each now.
