Quick proof of concept on what I think another style of official (game accurate) CE Marine figure could look like. I chose to make one of the Marines from the cutscene at the beginning of the game, where Johnson gives his color scheme is more accurate to the in game reference photo I used, although it isn't perfect. The "cloth" pieces won't have the greenish tinge to them until I get to making the "Shlub Style" Marine. The armor is also a bit on the bright side, because I need to be able to apply a wash to the figure (which darkens a figure tremendously). The hands are also gloved instead of bare because I didn't want to have to try a MCX style face print after I repainted the hands and head.
New molds that would be needed:
Helmet
Chestplate
The chestplate is a Sierra style heavy Marine vest that has been slightly resculpted to be more accurate to a CE Marine. It is entirely one color, as that's how MCX does most of their Marine vests. It will be multiple colors on the finished figure.
There are also slightly more details on this figure than on the prototype @Kevin_MCX showed off. That's just me laying the ground work for the final Marine.
I'm starting to like the phrase "Shlub Marine." If I ever build and MCX submersible, it's definitely going to be renamed a "Shlubmarine." Just a thing I thought was funny. I'll take my dad jokes and show myself out.
