I recently bought "Legends: Winter Heroes." It had some interesting guns and pieces, so I thought I'd pick it up. Initially I bought it hoping to use the coats for black and white customs with some Eastman & Laird TMNT sets. It didn't work out as I hoped, so this happened.
I used the Eastman & Laird muddied white bricks and flats that I had leftover from making the 2nd Time Around building. Those became the snow. For the brick wall portion, I used the 5 from this set (I love you Mega Construx but 5? Maybe in future sets you could put in at least a dozen bricks in these size of sets.), as well as 1 leftover brown brick (Assassin's Creed Fortress Attack), and orange bricks from the American Girl Isabelle Dance Studio (bought specifically for a future custom using the figure's lower legs). I wanted the big gun to be able to rotate side to side (instead of just up and down), so I took a piece from Halo Covenant Brute Lance, a turn table from UNSC Yankee Squad, and 2 other pieces that I believe were from other CoD sets.
It took me quite a while to position the hands and arms of the guy holding the sniper rifle. The vest makes it nearly impossible to get it to his eye. I thought the whole thing looked pretty good as it was, but with some fresh snowfall and a small pile of snow I made the day before, I had the perfect location for my first outdoor Mega Construx pictures, to make it even better.
My cat found his way into the last picture as I was trying to get a view from the back. So unintentionally, it looks as though they are defending the ridge against a giant orange cat.
P.S. if you buy this set thinking you are getting one guy with white pants, you aren't. They are brown as you can see in my pictures (box showed them white, not a big deal, but now you know). No cats were harmed in the making of this project.
