The Wasteland world is home to all manner of macabre, menacing, and mysterious monsters, many of which remain an enigma to researchers. This series will delve into the ecology of some of these cryptic creatures.
The Titanoboa – named in honour of its prehistoric precursor, the Titanoboa is an imperious predator known to prowl the Overgrowth. Colossal in size and strength, it’s believed this giant snake is a unique individual, as the food requirements for a species of such creatures would quickly wipe out entire ecosystems, and decimate animal populations.
The one known Titanoboa is threat enough, its green scales allowing it to easily blend in amongst the dense foliage of its habitat. The creature has demonstrated exceptional patience, waiting for days in the same position for prey to come its way. Though capable of extraordinary speed in short bursts, the snake’s sheer size means it tires quickly, so it prefers not to exert itself when it doesn’t have to.
