Tyzo Vudum was a Zealot during the early stages of the Reach campaign. He arrived in the first wave with the Fleet of Valiant Prudence. Though he and his team, “Blade of Devotion” were not assigned to Visegrád Relay, he did get to see action soon after.
His team of three was assigned to aid in the attack on Sword Base. Mid-battle, Vudum and his group broke off and began to retreat. The General ordered him to return, but Vudum refused, continuing to seemingly lead a useless retreat. As it turned out, Vudum had intercepted a com signal from a Marine squad, saying they were preparing to flank the Covenant troops.
Thanks to Vudum’s quick thinking, the Covenant was saved a massive loss in troops. However, the move was in direct violation of orders. Just before the fall of Reach he was demoted to Ultra, and assigned to New Alexandria.
Later he would become a conqueror and a General, but that my friends is a story for another day.
