Hey guys! This Friday, 5 years after my first and only, I finally get to showcase one of my most highly requested figures ever - the Halo Reach: Elite General! December 2017 was the last time I attempted a general figure using older pieces, however this iteration has completely evolved. This iteration features 8 hand sculpted pieces including the helmet, chest, shoulders (casts of my own), thighs, and wrists with as much detail as possible to capture that iconic silhouette, using a variety of pieces. When the sculpting was finished, the real fun began. Starting off with the paints, I used Elven Gold for the base color, highlighting it with Retributer Gold for the horn, shoulders, and wrists. Additional details were repainted with Corvus Grey and Abbadon Black, and the skin for his head has a Mechanicus dry brush. Each of the lighting details were repainted using a base of Averland Sunset layered with Flash Gitz yellow, along with 12 orange lights running down the center of the helmet crest. To pair with this figure, I also custom painted a Reach era Concussion Rifle using Screaming Bell, Corvus and Mechanicus Grey, and Lothern Blue for the lighting details. To finish this behemoth I have the armor a light black wash, along with a gloss seal. Finally remaking this figure is quite the notch on my list and I couldn’t be happier.
