Custom MCX Spartan JFO

I’m gonna be honest, I was hesitant to post this figure. I made a ton of mistakes and don’t quite feel it lives up to the standards I put on every figure I make. But some friends told me I should so here it is.

This time I took the JFO figure from the series 3 blind bags and made it purple. Using Reach as a direct reference. I hate purple, not the color itself. But painting purple, purple is more translucent than other colors which makes it so that you need more layers. So putting on 3 layers made him a little blotchy. Mixed with me rushing to get it over with and messing up varnishing the figure means some details and some paint applications are hard to see. Oh well I guess. For the sniper I just kind of winged it and just dry brushed and added a few details. Honestly I like it. Also decided to go ahead and drill out the barrel, which adds a lot to the weapon. But also messed up varnishing on the weapon so it has a weird dust like effect on it’s surface. Idk, I’m still somewhat happy with it.
