“Get down!” I shouted as I hit the floor before rolling into a ditch just before a rocket blew our previous position. I quickly looked for the others around me. BBQ had taken cover behind an old tree trunk whilst Trailer and Fredrick had jumped off to the sides and were now army crawling towards my position as gun fire flew over their heads. Catnip was some ways down the ditch to my right. Deves was pinned down behind a large rock while Ribbs quickly jumped into the trench behind me. Just then there came a thundering boom! A split second later the rock Deves was hiding behind went off in a ball of flame sending him flying. “Deves! No!” “They have a-” Kaboom! “Tank!” “We're being overrun!” “Agggghhh! My leg!” “Help! Help!” “Deves that you!?” “Of course it is! Now help!” He replied as he tried desperately to crawl to cover. His legs was a bloody mess and he was losing an arm. “How in the world are you still alive!?” “I don’t know! Just help!” Fredrick, who was the closest to him, got up and charged before grabbing him and sliding to BBQ’s side, barely avoiding a stream of machine gun fire. “Satchel charge!” “Are you crazy!? You’d get shot to pieces before you could even scream!” “Well someone has to do it! That is unless you just want to stay here and wait to be-” Kathoom! “Blown up!” “Well who’ll go!?” “Me!” “Are you cra-” Boom! “Zy Sarg!? “There are other, more umm, injured people that probably won’t make it anyways! Why not them!?” “Because they won’t get as far as me!” “Well then I’ll go!” “No me!” “No me!” After a few more seconds of this, Trailer grabbed the charge out of Ribbs hands and ran head first at the tank, with a shout of “The UNSC!” “Covering fire!” I shouted back as we started blasting at any rebel who dared show their head. Luckily for us, the tank didn’t notice him until he was almost there. He threw the satchel just as the machine gun opened up. He had barely hit the ground in a roll when the turret of the tank went up in a ball of flame quickly followed by the rest of it. With the tank down, other squads around us started to push the advantage and we quickly followed, well most of us. Deves was being carried away on a stretcher by two medics.
