Another member here requested close-ups of the figs and weapons. I'm not all that great at micro-photography so I staged some battlescape scenes of the unit preparing for a mission.
In the first two pics the ONI captain is briefing the Spartan 3 assault force along with the Marines and ODSTs who comprise the unit's QRF element in the Cheetah FAVs. All the aforementioned figures feature some combination of custom sculpted detailing, custom paint work, ammo pouches and ammo clips, and/or UA helmet upgrades.
In the foreground are a bunch of custom weapons, some official Halo canon, some not. In the foreground you see an M99 "Stanchion" Special Applications Rifle, essentially a man-portable railgun with its associated targeting computer and fusion power cell. Laying on the crate behind the Stanchion is a custom stealth painted Spartan Laser. Leaning against another crate also in the foreground are a trio of SopMod MA5K carbines, one of which is equipped with an under-barrel 25mm grenade launcher. All of these custom weapons are actual Halo canon. On top of the same crate is one of my SRS-103S SOCOM suppressed sniper rifles. This one is a made-up weapon that made sense to me. Leaning against the Cheetah buggy on the left next to a MA5B assault rifle, is a custom Halo Wars XM510 multi-shot grenade launcher. Again that one is canon.
In the second set of pics you see the Marine Sniper and Spotter teams and the ODST Sniper specialists doing their final mission prep. The Marine snipers all have a trio of bullets clipped to their right shoulder pauldron and a Magnum strapped to their leg using a MinifigCat holster. The Marine Snipers' SRS 99DS2 Sniper Rifles have custom scopes and modified muzzle brakes to make them more accurate. Their Marine Spotter partners are equipped with canonically accurate custom binoculars, a BrickArms DMR, and customized Tiny Tactical backpacks which accommodate their rifles and binoculars.
The three ODST Snipers each feature custom sculpted UA helmet upgrades, specifically the range finder upgrade featured on Romeo's helmet. All feature custom paint applications, bullets on one pauldron and SMG ammo pouches on the other. Their long gun of choice is my fictional SRS-103S sound and flash suppressed sniper rifle seen in the foreground. The ODST's secondary weapons are the custom painted M7S suppressed SMGs. In addition to the weathered paint I've added the missing red-dot sights and barrel mounted flashlights with parts from Tiny Tactical.
