Well ok then. I’ve got two up here that I want to show you all.
The first picture is obviously GrubFlap. We all know him. We all love him. What you all don’t know is the full (and somewhat artistically altered) story of GrubFlap’s rise, and eventual fade.
I got GrubFlap two weeks after I joined the Gallery. You can go back and find the first post with him. I poured the perfectionist part of my personality into this little guy, and everything was great.
For 3 days. (Cue artistic story alteration!)
I decided to focus on my school and let GrubFlap run my profile until the school year was over. He introduced himself here as me, and we parted ways as friends. The school year ended, but I had forgotten about the Gallery. I did stuff during the summer, and went back to school later.
Lo and behold I come with an idea for a post-apocalyptic story. My thought was, “Hey I think this would be great for the Gallery!” I logged back on, and realized that GrubFlap had made a name for me on the Gallery. Unfortunately, he had a bunch of half baked storylines that he never finished. So I tried to move on from his failures, which brings me to my next figure.
Figure 2 is, the man, the myth, the legend, Nigel Thompson. While GrubFlap had my perfectionism, Nigel is my ego. (He has become less egotistical as he’s been developed, but he still holds himself rather high in regard). Nigel was being character developed before I knew about the Gallery, before I even played Halo. I wanted him to my dog fig from the get-go, but I was changing his old ODST body for a new one, and I didn’t want to introduce him until he was brand new. However, GrubFlap is more widely accepted as me, instead of my amazing brainchild that you see here.
I want to use Nigel more, and have GrubFlap be a background character, but that may never happen.
In all seriousness guys, I love GrubFlap and liked using him as a sig fig. That story was created to use GrubFlap as a scapegoat for the sad posts that I made before 2019. Which figure is your favorite?
