Hey guys! I’m signing off for the weekend with a Gcustoms first for the page - UNSC Captain Jacob Keyes! As Captain of the Pillar of Autumn, Keyes led a long and perilous fight against the covenant before being consumed by the flood - fighting until the very end. Being my first ever version of Keyes, I knew I had to try my best. I started by repainting his entire suit in White Scar, adding a secondary tone of Grey Seer around the stitching and folds of his suit. The braids under his arms and around the wrists was painted in Steel Legions Brown, and the skin on his face and hands was repainted in 2 different flesh tones. Afterward, I touched back on some details with Corvus Grey before gettin to the fun part - hand painting each one of his 9 naval ribbons, the Marathon symbol, and the smallest yet - his name “Keyes” on his name tag. Some additional details include his eyes which are green as per in game, as well as other certain facial and body details. Bringing this figure to life was by far one of the most fun challenges I’ve had recently and I am itching to do more “out of armor” figures. If you like todays post, make sure to comment! Enjoy!
