Hello everyone! Happy Holidays! Before I go, I'd like to quickly address the other Christmas contest that was announced, as it kind of causes problems with the system we've set up. So just to add a bit of information for those of you who aren't super familiar with contests on this site, or this contest specifically, here's a rundown of everything you need to know about Gallery contests.
Last year, in an attempt to try and keep contest spam down, the majority of members decided it would be best if we made some sort of schedule to keep track of when contests would be hosted. We created a forum post to allow people to sign up for different months, and that's how we've been doing it since then. (I believe Murple, a veteran member arround here, has made a post about how to get to the forums now that the site UI has changed.) The reason for this, is because otherwise, ten people just start hosting contests all at once, and the gallery gets flooded with posts that make it hard to navigate. The reason I bring this up, is because JoeFilms and I signed up to do the annual Christmas contest each year as a collaborative effort, and that's what this is.
As for this contest, the rules are simple: Create a scene with any figures you want, and make something that you associate with the holidays. We usually refer to it as a Christmas contest, but it can really be whatever holiday you celebrate. It can be a big Spartan snowball fight, a bunch of Warlock carolers singing songs, some CoD soldiers drinking hot cocoa around a fire, or anything you associate with the festive season. One entry per member, but you can always replace your entry with a new one if you decide on a better one.
Anyways, that's all! I know there are always new members rolling in, so not everyone knows about the contest plan, so I thought I'd just help clear that up.
