Pain. That’s all Jacob could feel as he steadied himself in his cover. He reached down, tightening his leg strap above his wound. His cover shifted again, just another thing to deal with as the guy in the truck kept shooting at him. Jacobs looked around him again. No way to escape. The next thing Jacobs heard was screaming, from behind him. A sniper must have shot his assailant. Jacobs took that opportunity to run into the woods.
