Rebuilding the MB Halo Smuggler Intercept set Part 1 of 2

I built this set up in stock form in November and was quite impressed for several reasons. First is the fact that MB even chose to model this particular vehicle at all! The MB design team deserve a great big "Halo Nerd" group hug for bringing a rather obscure civilian vehicle from the Halo 'verse to life. While the model seemed slightly too small and a bit oversimplified, Mega Bloks did a very nice job capturing the overall appearance of the vehicle at a reasonable price. In fact I'll go a little farther and say this: My son and I both looked at the screen cap of the Tug hovering over the surface of the Alpha Shard in Halo Nightfall and came to the identical conclusion: It looked as though the Bactrian Class Tug concept was mocked up in Mega Bloks before being modeled in CGI! So would other game accuracy obsessed collectors like me have wished for more detail and been willing to pay more for it? Probably, but I may not be representative of the average HMB customer- LOL! Oh well, nothing that some extra bloks and burning the midnight oil can't fix...
