Greetings everyone! Time for a throwback Thursday featuring a Halo 2 custom, Anniversary Grunt Ultra!!
Grunts are probably my favorite figures to paint up because of their varying armor colors and flesh tones!
I sculpted the armbands on the arms of the grunt. I then painted the flesh tone in a number of colors, first primed in gray, and the rest was all literally dry brushing colors on! Peach tone paint for the first few layers, then lavender for the outer facing skin, pink for the inner facing skin, then green and purple dry brushing to top off the skin tone.
The head area and overall painting the grunts flesh was my favorite part! I did some silver for his mask with blue lights, gave it a light brown wash and voila, halo 2 anniversary grunt by me complete!
Looks good with my Halo 2 Jackal and even next to my Halo Reach Grunt Ultra! What do you guys think?
