“This is Spartan 167, and we can talk later. Right now just help me complete my mission.” “Mission? What mission? I was sent here to manage the UNSC Destiny, not take part in anything remotely close to a Spartan mission!” “That ship went down two days ago, so you're with me now. You can meet up with the survivors if there are any later. Right now give me a combat scan.” “You sure?” The voice replied, sounding unsteady. “Yes.” And with that Daren poked his head over a crate he was crouched behind and let the A.I. take things in. Then there was silence, before a thousand pings filled his HUD. His entire visor was covered with information. The material of the roof, the paint colour of the wall, the stability of the roof, the exact build and model of all vehicles, blue prints and all. He couldn’t see anything in this mess and it was starting to give him a headache. “Too much! Too much!” Daren said, barely stopping himself from shouting. “Well what do you want then? You said you wa-.” “Just show the essentials.” “Essentials?” “You know, personnel, weapons, etc.” He said slightly annoyed. “Hey to be fair, I was made for logistics not combat.” “Yeah, yeah just get on with it.” He said watching as all the pings on his visor disappear all at once before some pop up again. “Let’s see here,” he said looking around.” “Alright I think I have a plan.” “So … what is it?” “You’ll see,” he replied before sneaking to a crate where the brutes had roughly thrown away the UNSC weapons. Picking up a SAW and smacking a mag into it he said; “I hope you're ready.” “Ready for wa-” and if that he jumped out of his cover and immediately gunned down the brutes guarding the VIP. In the same movement he kicked forward the crate of guns/ammo to the closest marine. “Get your butts off the ground if you don’t want to be left behind!” He shouted as the marines rushed for the weapons. “Watch out!” The A.I shouted highlighting a brute getting dangerously close with a gravity hammer. Just as he finished gunning him down the A.I was off again. “Sniper! 3 o’clock! Watch out! There’s another brute to you left! Ghost!” In the blink of an eye he flicked his SAW, first at the sniper then the brute before somersaulting over the charging ghost, sticking the driver in the head with a plasma grenade at the last second while firing at another brute at the same time, before finally sliding into cover. “You’re pretty good at this for an A.I built for logistics.” He said firing into a group of charging grunts. “I guess you could say I’m a natural.” She replied. “Get to the exits! You there! With the SPNKR blow up those garage doors! Once you're out, regroup at a nearby hill!” He shouted, turning his attention away from the A.I for a second. “Now for the second part of the plan.” He said, turning his attention back to her. “And what would that be?” “Blowing this place sky high.”
