This is my entry for the Halo 3 contest.
Name: Eric "Techie" Jones
Occupation: UNSC special forces ODST - Data recovery and Infultration branch, led by Amanda wood.
Likes: Modifying weaponsand armour, painting armour designs, and shooting covies.
dislikes: Grumpy brute chieftans, ONI, and any kind of basic or standard- issue armour
Backstory:
He joined the ODST recruitment centre, 3 months after his wife and kids had been killed by the covenant's initial attack on Meridian in 2548. He endured the trials, and he quickly rose to be one of the most promising soldiers in the recruitment centre. He soon came to hate ONI, however, when he watched them dipose of one of his closest friends when the friend stuck an ONI officer, putting the agent in the hospital for several days. As he joined the ranks of the ODST's, he was introduced to his new team, Beta-4 (sorry, I didn't know what to call it). The team was composed of 4 members, and he soon grew to trust them like his own family. After all, his own was no longer with him. As the team went through battle after battle, they were soon noticed by the ONI lutenant, Amanda wood, much to Erics' dismay. Amanda chose Beta-4 as her personal team and responsibility, and she used them as a way to retrieve valuable information from the covenant, which was crucial to help ONI understand how covenant tech worked. Soon, the team followed in Alpha-9s' footsteps, and became fully fledged spartans themselves. In 2558, as chief made his desperate search for Cortana, Beta-4 was deployed 5 miles west of the battle of Sunaion on Sanghelios. Their goal was to locate the guardian on Sanghelios, in order to help the Arbiters forces to gain an advantage on Jul' M'damas' forces. However, when the guardian was awakened, and the planet was plunged into darkness, the team was lost. Their whereabouts are still unknown. Until their bodies are found, or the UNSC or ONI recieve wrod from them, Eric Jones and his team will be listed MIA.
