So I bought a blind bag Halo figure today, with the hopes of using parts for a custom. But as I started to customize, I slowly eliminated more and more of the Halo figure, until none remained. That blind bag figure is shown in picture 6. Since it was the inspiration for customizing today, I thought I'd at least throw him in one picture.
Now onto the main event, so to speak. The TMNT Destiny custom. I used the thighs, crotch and torso of a Klingon; arms and legs of a Fallen Captain; shell, shoulder and torso armor from Samurai Leo, head and belt from Eastman & Laird Raph. Gun and blue thing (sorry I've never played destiny, but the figures are mega cool, pun intended) from Warlock Samsara.
As one of the pictures shows, I cut off part of the shell so I could connect it to his back. Ok, not cut, I tried that, it took too long, so I used a vise-grip and twisted it off. I also purposely skuffed up the shell for some battle damage. And in the photos you may have noticed a station wagon custom: a preview of a future post.
Now for a few questions for anyone who reads this. Since I know very little about Destiny (all I know is what I see from Mega Construx sets), what classification would this Turtle Destiny character be? What might he be called? Keep in mind just because he has a red headband does not necessarily make him Raph, as all of the early comic turtles had red headbands. Let me know what you all think.
