Let's play chess...
1987 cartoon turtles are Pawns; Footsoldiers are Pawns. Comic and '87 custom cartoon Casey Jones are Rooks; Rock Soldiers are Rooks. Comic Donnie and Mikey are Knights; Bebop and Rocksteady are Knights. Comic Leo and Raph are Bishops; '87 cartoon and comic Shredders are Bishops. April O'neil and Karai are Queens. And Splinter and Krang are the Kings.
There aren't too many options to fill the Turtle side, unless Mega Construx makes more TMNT Collectors sets (4 mutant frogs, Nutrinos, or other figures). On the other side I had some options, since I used the Eastman & Laird Turtles, I felt I had to have that Shredder too. I thought about using Mousers as Pawns, but opted for the Foot since they are more common on the show. Maybe they'll make it on an alternate chess board...
Who will win, the Turtles or the Foot? (Too bad we don't have Eastman & Laird Footsoldiers and Foot Elite, those would be awesome!)
