It's Thursday so that means I can do one of these. Let's take a look at the very first banshee that Mega made way back in 2011, appropriately named Covenant Banshee 96859.
The majority of this set is comprised of the classic sparkly covenant purple while the canopy and pods are painted. Other details are applied via stickers which have thankfully held up. The interior is not very detailed, just two pegs for the figure to hold onto and a translucent 2X2 tile which I assume serves as some kind of screen for the pilot.
Speaking of the pilot, you get one red elite with a flight helmet and some nice blue paint details on the head, chest, and arms. He comes equipped with a single plasma pistol.
It's a decent set, obviously the vehicle is the focus so you don't get a ton of figures and weapons, but that's alright. Sometimes you just want a banshee without any other stuff. So what do you think? Do any of you guys have this, and if so, how do you think it compares to newer banshees?
